Dr Tax Software Inc., author and provider of UFile, is fully committed to protecting confidentiality and privacy. Our policies on information gathering, disclosure practices, and any and all interaction with our users are as follows:

• We may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to manage our Web site and registration process.

• We use cookies to monitor your session on our Web site only.

• The various forms used on our site (registration, online surveys, etc.) may require you to provide contact information (name, email address) and unique identifiers.

  We may use this customer contact data to send you information about our company.

  Contact information might also be used to get in touch with you if necessary.

• We distribute material only to those who have opted to receive emails from us on a periodic basis.

  You can always opt out of receiving future mailings, or have the contact information updated by sending an email to our webmaster@ufile.ca or by visiting http://www.ufile.ca/Windows/Global/Newsletter.asp.

• Credit card and other financial information are required for the sole purpose of obtaining payment for purchases from UFile. Credit card numbers are not collected nor stored by Dr Tax Software Inc.

• Demographic and profile data (such as your place of residence and your language) collected during registration may be used in marketing efforts.

• No tax information of any kind is gathered on our servers at any time.

• Our software and Web site contain links to other Web sites, such as various government sites. UFile is not responsible for the privacy practices or contents of these sites.

• Our Web site is not for children. We do not collect information from them, nor do we offer products or services that might be of interest to them.
