UFile for Windows has been NETFILE certified for all 2010 tax returns except for those reporting Harmonized AgriStability/Agrilnvest (T1273).
The CRA's NETFILE service is open from February 14 until September 30, 2011.
What is NETFILE?
Last year, more than 4 million people filed their tax returns
with NETFILE. Why?
NetFiling is easy.
You can get your tax refund within 10 days.
NETFILE saves paper and reduces hassle.
You get an immediate acknowledgement that your return has been
received.
There is no charge to NETFILE once your return is generated
with UFile.
Each year, UFile is NetFile certified by
the CRA and the MRQ.
In order to file electronically, using NETFILE, your tax return
must be prepared using NETFILE-certified tax software. NETFILE
certification is a rigorous testing procedure required by, and
undertaken with the CRA and the MRQ (ministère du Revenu
du Québec) to ensure that the software meets high standards
of quality and reliability.
Note that after September 30, you can no longer NETFILE a tax
return for the current year, nor can you NETFILE tax returns for
prior years. However, you can continue to use UFile to prepare
your return and file it on paper, by mail.
If you will be sending your tax return by mail, please use the

Message from the CRA: Income tax preparation software companies must seek NETFILE
certification from the Canada Revenue Agency (the "CRA") for tax preparation software products which
are to be used in conjunction with CRA’s NETFILE electronic tax filing service. NETFILE certification of
this Product from the CRA may or may not have been obtained at this time. Please consult the CRA Website
www.NETFILE.gc.ca or this website beginning February 2011 to determine the status of this Product’s
application for certification. |
