The UFile software has 2 platforms, Windows and ONLINE.

The ONLINE version is a web-based application that allows you to prepare your tax return online. There is no software to install. It is compatible with any computer or tablet with an Internet connection and browser. You simply go to: https://www.ufile.ca/products/ufile-online and create your account.

For Windows, you will need to download and install the software on a personal computer running Windows® 10 or Windows® 11.

UFile for Windows pricing is as follows:
UFile 4 for $20.95 or UFile 12 for $39.99

UFile ONLINE is as follows:
First family member entered in UFile (family head): $20.95 plus applicable taxes

Second family member entered in UFile (spouse): $13.00 plus applicable taxes

Additional family members (dependants): $7.00 plus applicable taxes

Individuals or families with total income of $20,000 or less*: no charge

Important: If you do not match UFile's definition of a dependant, you will have to create a separate client file with your own username and password and enter your tax information as a distinct family head.

*Total income is the amount appearing on line 15000 of your tax return.

These include the Guaranteed Income Supplement, Goods and services tax / harmonized sales tax (GST/HST) credit, Canada child benefit, Canada workers benefit and more. UFile PREMIUM costs $32,95 if you’re filing a single return or $46.95 for a family. In other words, you pay $12 more than UFile ONLINE whether you’re filing a single return or a family.
